The last Christmas card

Hi -
Hope you are all ready and raring to go for Christmas :-)
This is my final Christmas card for 2011.
I actually made it for the CRAFT Challenge blog - the theme was Christmas Presents.
I used the Here Comes Christmas cling stamp by Penny Black

and coloured it in using Copics.
To mat and layer the card, I used various Spellbinders dies:
Wonky Rectangles

I created the faux pearl accents using the Creative Expressions Cosmic Shimmer Dark Bronze Pearly Glue
After adding a sentiment, and dotting around the edges with a white pen, I added a Crimson Cloud handmade paper rose (these are currently on sale!)

Hope you like it!

Happy New Year!

I cut the Glass out of the cricut alphabet collection preloaded on my Cricut Expression 2.
Using the negative, upside down I drew the perfect second half of the rim of the glass with my quickie glue pen. I then embossed with Cosmic Shimmer Embossing Powder “Ruby Lapis” embossing powder
 - a pretty good match for the colour card I had chosen.
Ruby Lapis - Embossing Powder
I used the free “Happy New Year” SVG

which I cut out in the same colour as the backing card, applied a couple of gem twizzle sticks.

I used a few more round gems as bubbles and punched the corners with my favourite Martha Stewart corner and there we go.
Happy New Year!
Cheers- Linda xxx

Sunday Sketch and Stamp Challenge

This week we are sponsoring the Sunday Sketch and Stamp Challenge:

This is the sketch that everyone is working to:

And this is our entry:
The three kings are from our die cuts selection:

I also used Spellbinders Lace Doily Motifs:
and the Spellbinders Banners Basics One:

The background paper comes from the Creative Expressions Foundations range:

The faux pearls around the edge are made with the Shimmer Pearl Glue - I chose Olympic Gold:

Hope you like it!

French birthday wishes

I made this card for my brother-in-law who has just moved to France:
I had great fun playing with the Spellbinders dies on this one - moving them around and layering them up until I was happy with the layout - using Labels Twenty :

The Paris scene was made using two Clarity Stamps - Victorian Miniatures Set

and the small Eiffel Tower

The scene was very quick and easy to do - I used a small circle to mask a "sun" and a tiny bit of Black Soot Distress Ink to ground the Tower and the Victorian Gentleman.

The sentiment is one of my favourite Penny Black stamps - it is so versatile!
I inked around the edge with a little Tea Dye Distress Ink to age it.

The background was embossed with the Creative Expressions Time embossing folder:

To embellish the card, I used the Creative Expressions Vintage Ribbon - Black  and Amber Brown:

The final touch, was to add some faux pearls around the edges using the shimmer pearlised black glue:

Thanks for looking!

Christmas Tree svg's

I have been playing with our Christmas Tree Hearts svg this week:

This svg cuts out both the tree silhouette and the tree with the hearts cut out - to enable you to create a double layer.

We have some little one's to cater for this year - hence the baby colours:

I made a few more for the grown ups:

Hope you like them!

Beautiful Die Cuts

We have just launched a new range of die cut embellishments at Crimson Cloud and I couldn't wait to start playing with them.

The die cuts are so detailed that you don't really need to do much more on the card. I embossed the backing card with the new Walrus and Carpenter embossing folder from Creative Expressions

I hope you like these new embellishments - click here to see the full range.
