Dancing in the Moonlight...

..sounds like a line from a song!

This card was made using the new Fairy In The Moonlight stamp set -

This is an A6 stamp set which includes some very versatile sentiments along with the main image.

To create the card base, I took some navy blue pearlised cardstock, cut it lengthways, scored and folded it in half.

I took the main ornate frame die from the new Spellbinders Card Creator Filigree die set

and attached it to the card front using some washi tape to hold it in place.

I ran it through my die cutting machine twice as the die is very detailed and the card quite thick.

Taking the oval from the set, I die cut it in white and left the card in the die, holding it in place from behind with tape.

I took the moon stamp and stamped it in place on the oval. To create a mask, once stamped, I coloured the moon with a Versamark pen and embossed with clear powder.

To create my night sky, I took three Distress Ink pads - Tumbled Glass, Faded Jeans and Chipped Sapphire - all shades of blue, and a final Black Soot pad.

Starting from the bottom of the oval (still in the die) I blended the blue inks from lightest to darkest at the top. To give a bit more depth, I blended the Black Soot around the top edges.

The masked moon resisted the ink and I just wiped any remainder off with a baby wipe.

To create my stars, I spritzed some water onto the sky, allowed to soak in for a few seconds, and then dabbed off the excess with a kitchen towel.

I stamped and fussy cut out my fairy, and used some pale distress inks to colour her in - Pumice Stone, Tattered Rose and Tumbled Glass.

I mounted the oval onto the card front and attached the fairy in place with some foam pads for dimension.

The sentiment was stamped onto white card and cut out into a banner.

The final touch was to adhere the banner and decorate with some twine, a button and a pearl.

I think that she looks very ethereal and now I cannot get the song out of my head!
