Beautiful Bells

Today we have two cards made by Linda.

Both cards are made using the Crimson Cloud Noel Bells stamp set

This stamp set includes a patterned bell, an outline bell and a silhouette bell stamp which can be used to colour in the outline bell.

For her first card, Linda created movement and dimension for her bells by mounting them at an angle through a die cut rectangular aperture.

Her first bell is stamped as a silhouette and overstamped with the wreath  from the Crimson Cloud Holly Wreath and Bow stamp set

The second bell was created using the harlequin patterned bell stamp.

To create her sentiment, she used the Love, Peace and Joy separate stamps from the Holly Wreath set.

Linda used the Noel Bells again for her second card, this time paper piecing the bells by stamping them onto some tartan patterned paper.

She used the Creative Expressions Wild Poinsettia embossing folder for her background

I love the way she has used such non-traditional colours for both her cards.

I hope you like these samples and are inspired by them!

Twin Stags

This card was inspired by one of Sue Wilson's masterpieces which I adapted using the new Crimson Cloud Christmas stamps.

To start, I stamped and embossed twice the stag from the Elegant Stag and Sentiment set and cut out.

I then took a piece of card and attached to a double sided adhesive sheet, I cut the sheet to create two hill shapes and added glitter for my "snow".

Taking another sheet of white card, I embossed it with the Wild Poinsettia embossing folder

I stamped and embossed a sentiment in gold and die cut using the large star from the Spellbinders Holiday Tags die set

I then drew around the outside of the star die and cut out by hand to create a shadow for my star.

I layered up my snowy hills and poinsettia background onto an 8x8 inch card base.

The stags were attached using silicon glue to ensure a good hold on the glittered card.

I tied a bow using the Champagne coloured wrinkled edged ribbon

and decorated with the star sentiment and a button from my stash.

To complete, the outside edge of the card was decorated with the Cosmic Shimmer Golden Pearl pva glue

I hope you like my interpretation of Sue's card.

Glorious Christmas

I love this sentiment from the new Guardian Angel stamp set - I think it summarises all that Christmas should be!

This card is so quick and simple to make. Once I had die cut the Spellbinders Romantic Rectangles

from white card, I embossed it using the Couture Creations Wild Poinsettia embossing folder -

making sure that I did not close the folder over the die.

I mounted the embossed panel onto a Kraft card base with mounting foam for dimension.

The sentiment was stamped onto a strip of white card and embossed with glittery gold embossing powder. I nipped the end of the strip with scissors to create a banner. The edges of the banner were inked with Versamark and embossed using the glittery gold embossing powder.

I took a length of American Seam Binding and tied it into a bow. Once I had snipped the tails, I inked them with Versamark and heat embossed them with the gold embossing powder.

I attached the sentiment to the card front with the ribbon bow, some twine and a button from my stash.

A very quick and easy Christmas card - great for batch making!
