Christmas Wreaths

Hi Everyone,
I thought you would like to see what you can do with the new Spellbinders Build a Wreath die set

This is a beautiful die set and makes fantastic dimensional wreaths for your cards and projects.

The main die cuts out the wreath base, and the smaller dies cut out branches which are inserted into pre-cut slots in the wreath base. And of course there is the beautiful bow which can be cut in any colour from a range of materials.

Here are a couple of samples using this fantastic set -

For this card, I cut the wreath from Kraft cardstock and blended some Walnut Stain distress ink to add more dimension to the branches. The sentiment is from the Crimson Cloud Elegant Stag and Sentiments stamp set

The wreath on the second card

is made from white card stock, coloured with Distress Stains.

To mount the wreath, I used a sheet of the Crimson Cloud Wood Veneer

Wood Veneer Poppies

I absolutely adore these new Poppy stamps from My Favorite Things

and coordinating dies from DieNamics!

For this project

I teamed the Poppies with the new Wood Veneer panels which are now available exclusively from Crimson Cloud

These real wood veneer panels come in packs of four sheets. They are available in two different sizes and three different colours. Click here to see the full range.

They are perfect for stamping and heat embossing on and can also be die cut.

To die cut them it is best to use a simple outline die (like this poppy head). Detailed dies do not work as well as they are too intricate. Bigz dies are perfect and cut the veneer like butter!

As you can see from my sample, the wood veneer can also be stamped on.
I find that it is best to use Stazon or Archival ink pads to prevent the ink from bleeding into the wood.
